Erik van Bekkum is Chairman of Efios and founder of the Centre for Mega Projects Leadership Education (CEMPLE). Coming from the oil and gas industry, he is an expert consultant with focus on creating value for people networks and organisations using communities of practice. His expertise and research include building strategies around (global) corporate communities of practice, innovation in online communities, innovative project leadership and leveraging social software and network analysis to increase the benefits of communities. Current and past clients include: Borax, Solvay, Shell Exploration and Production, Dutch Ministry of Public Works and Rio Tinto mining.
