Hazel Hall is Senior Lecturer in Information Management at
Napier University School of Computing in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Her interests include online information services provision, business
information sources and services, the education and training of
information professionals and the impact of these areas on knowledge
management activity within organisations. With Professor Elisabeth
Davenport (also of Napier University) she is the co-author of
"Organizational knowledge and communities of practice"
published in the 2002 Annual Review of Information Science and
Technology (Vol. 36, pp. 171-227). Hazel is currently engaged
in a research project that investigates factors that motivate
knowledge sharing across intranets in large, distributed organisations.
