Joe directs the Research Group at Participate.com, a company providing
scalable, outsourced online community solutions for Global 2000
companies such as AT&T Worldnet, Cisco Systems, Microsoft,
and SAP. The Research Group's recent projects include a year-long
survey of online community programmes on wireless PDAs, phones
and pagers. The study provided a first look at the social and
collaborative applications that many say will drive the widespread
adoption of wireless Internet services. The group's previous work
on community return-on-investment methodologies set the standard
for quantifying the value of community efforts.
Joe joined Participate.com from Arthur Andersen, where he helped found Arthur Andersen's Next Generation Research Group. His five years at Andersen also included work as a senior researcher in the Global Best Practices group. He also had a guiding role in Andersen's early Internet efforts.
Joe is a frequent writer and speaker on topics related to online

as MIT Sloan Management Review, Strategy and Leadership, The Journal
