Dr Naveen Agnihotri trained as a computer engineer in India, and received an MS in Biological Engineering at the University of Georgia. He then went on to a PhD in neuroscience at Columbia University, working with Nobel laureate Eric Kandel on how brain networks process and store information. He did a postdoctoral fellowship in the computational neuroscience laboratory at MIT where he studied how neurons talk to each other in brain networks. He has published in leading journals in neuroscience as well as computer science and mathematics. Naveen also teaches neuroscience at Columbia University.
