is Endeca's Chief Strategist. Before joining Endeca, Paul was an analyst at Forrester Research for six years. His research focused on experience design and search technology. His investigations into design included extensive work on the evaluation of the online user experience, and management of the design process to make that experience as compelling as possible. Paul's research into search included deep dives into information retrieval theories and technologies. But it was examining those approaches through the lens of user experience that showed which ones actually help people find what they are looking for. In addition to publishing numerous reports on these topics, Paul helped hundreds of executives at Global 2,500 firms apply research to solve real business problems.
Prior to Forrester, Paul worked at Strategic Interactive Group,
now Digitas, an integrator creating large-scale Web sites for
IBM, FedEx, and Harcourt International, among others. There, he
helped clients set
business objectives for online initiatives and translate those
goals into technical requirements for development. Paul has a
BA in English from Wake Forest University.
