Dr Bean is a co-founder of Attensity and serves as its CTO.
His background includes a BA in French and Arabic from the University
of Utah, an MS in Management Information Systems from the University
of
Arizona's Eller College of Management, and a PhD in Computer Science
from the University of Utah. His PhD work focused on natural language
processing issues including partial parsing, thematic role assignment,
automated extraction and anaphora resolution. He has additional
interest and graduate study in medical informatics, embedded systems,
databases and object oriented languages. Dr Bean is the inventor
on five software patents, and has over sixteen pending.
