Tony Gentile, Vice President, Product Management, Healthline
Networks, is a software and Internet industry veteran with 15
years of product management and corporate development experience
at consumer and business focused Internet/software products and
services companies. Prior to Healthline Networks, Mr Gentile was
Director of Corporate Development at Knight Ridder Digital, where
he led several strategic initiatives, including the development
of KRDs Local Search and Shopping strategy, which led to
the acquisition of ShopLocal.com. Before Knight Ridder, Mr Gentile
consulted to Overture Services (Yahoo! Search Marketing), where
he initiated and led the product and channel strategy for Overture
Advertiser Web Services, turning a nascent technology experiment
into a FY2003 $400MM channel (accounting for 40% of all Overture
revenue) in under six months.
As both an executive and consultant, Mr. Gentile has also worked
with a variety of Fortune 500 and start-up companies, including:
Kodak (Ofoto), Adobe Systems (Aldus), Vivendi Universal (Davidson
& Associates), PointCast, Feedster, VeriSign (Moreover) and
others. He also runs the popular buzzhit! blog, where he writes
about search, advertising, social media, web 2.0 and decentralized
marketplaces.
