Max Copperman is Senior Director of Advanced Technology at Knova Software, Inc. He is responsible for innovation and product development in the areas of knowledge representation, natural language processing, search, and machine learning. M. Copperman joined Knova through the merger of ServiceWare Technologies and Kanisa, where he was Senior Director of Advanced Technology. Prior to joining Kanisa, Mr Copperman was a Research Scientist in the Multi-Lingual Theory and Technology group at the Xerox Research Centre, Europe (XRCE), in Grenoble, France. While at XRCE, he worked on XLE (the Xerox Linguistic Environment) and Intelligent Paper.
Mr Copperman holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a BA in History and Computer Science, also from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
