Iain Fletcher is the International Technical Sales Director
at Convera (formerly Excalibur Technologies), and over the past
seven years has been pivotal in driving international sales across
the company. His commitment to growing the company on a global
scale has helped establish Convera as one of the world's leading
providers of advanced search and categorisation technology Since
joining the company in 1995, Iain has been responsible for positioning
Convera as a leading player in both the international pharmaceutical
and defence intelligence markets.
Iain has over 15 years' experience within the information management
sector, and regularly acts as a key note speaker at knowledge
management events. He has also written White Papers on various
issues surrounding search technology. Iain would describe himself
as an evangelist of the semantically rigorous approach to search
and categorisation. He has a BSc Honours Degree in Mechanical
Engineering, which he gained at the University of Aston.
