Mr Kaminecki has presented numerous technical articles, book chapters, presentations and papers on
various aspects of online searching an information retrieval since 1974,
specialising in intellectual property. He has worked for IIT Research
Institute, Abbott Laboratories and Dialog, always in a position involving patent
information. He has also worked with patent searchers in top R&D
companies, law firms and patent offices around the world and has been an expert
witness in patent litigation. He is also an inventor with an American and
PCT published applications.
A registered US Patent Attorney and a member of the Illinois Bar and of the
Bar of the Northern District Court of Illinois, he has also worked as a US
Patent Agent. He is a co-author of NISO Standard Z-39.58, “Common
Command Language for Online Information Retrieval,” which was the basis of the
conforming International Standard. Mr Kaminecki has a BS in Chemistry, an MS in Computer Science and Information Systems, and a JD
with a Certificate in Patent Law. He is a member of the American
Intellectual Property Lawyer’s Association, Patent Information User’s Group,
Special Libraries Association and is a thirty-four year member of the American
Chemical Society.
