
graduated from the ETH Zürich, worked at NCI-Frederick, Weizmann Institute, and at EMBL. He joined Merck KGaA in 1997. Luca wrote a patent in knowledge discovery, and has publications in bioinformatics, biomedical ontologies and molecular modelling. His current focus is on hypothesis generation and validation, through information extraction and formal reasoning. received her M.Sc.Biol from Geneva university, and joined Merck Serono S.A. in 2007. She worked from 2004 to 2007 in the Department of Zoology and animal biology of Geneva University, focusing on the role of 7-TM receptors in sensory neurons. Her current focus is in the application of text mining to support R&D in neurology and autoimmune disorders. Caroline is a Member of the Geneva Stem Cell Reearch Society.
