Rachel joined Thomson (Derwent) in 1990 as a Life Sciences graduate and started her career as an analyst working on Derwent Biotechnology Abstracts. In 1997 she took on the position of Biosciences Product Manager responsible for Derwent Biotechnology Abstracts and GENESEQ. Since then, she has played a significant role within Thomson Scientific's Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences commercial development area as Product Development Manager, and Head of Product Development. In October 2003, Rachel joined the newly formed R&D Division as Director of Product Development within the Pharma/Chemistry Markets Strategic Business Unit and is currently heading a team dedicated to the product definition and delivery of Thomson's strategic Integrated Pharmaceutical Solution initiative.
