Dr Warr has Masters and Doctors degrees in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. She is a Chartered Chemist, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. She has over 30 years experience in information systems and research computing including nearly 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Before founding Wendy Warr & Associates in January 1992, she was Manager of Information Services for ICI Pharmaceuticals. Wendy Warr & Associates specialises in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, electronic publishing and e-commerce. Clients include pharmaceutical companies, publishers, and software and database vendors.
Wendy Warr is an active member of the American Chemical Society
(ACS) and serves on several international scientific committees
including that of Infonortics' International Chemical Information
Conference. She is Chairman of the International Union of Pure
and Applied Chemistry's Committee on Printed and Electronic Publications.
For many years, she has been an Editor of the ACS Journal of Chemical
Information and Computer Sciences. She has over 60 publications
to her credit. She is also a Trustee of the CSA Trust.
