After completing her PhD in physical chemistry at the University
of Brussels in 1967, Mrs Meyers joined the company Solvay where
she worked in the fields of information/ documentation and industrial
property for more than 30 years. Ever since the beginning, she
has been a European and a Belgian patent attorney as well as an
OHIM trademark attorney.
From 1990, she managed the industrial property and information-documentation
departments of the Solvay group. She has been involved with many
specialist groups in information/ documentation (eg, PDG) as well
as in industrial property (eg, CEFIC, UNICE). On the 1st of December
1998 she was appointed Principal Director Patent Information and
head of the Vienna sub-office of the EPO.
