Randall Marcinko's twenty-year career in the information industry has earned him a widely held reputation as a leader, spokesman, entrepreneur and successful businessman. Prior to joining Nstein as its President and Chief Operating Officer, Randy was the President of Marcinko Enterprises Ltd. (MEI), a California-based information consultancy that he founded in 1996. Randy received his degree in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and performed graduate research at Stanford University. He left his studies in 1980 to form Dynamic Information Corp, a full-service information brokerage. After selling Dynamic to EBSCO Industries in 1994, Randy headed EBSCOdoc as Vice President and General Manager where he implemented the first complete World Wide Web document delivery interface.
Randy has forged a solid network of ongoing business relationships with e-publishers such as Reed Elsevier, Dialog and IEEE, and has personally served as a consultant to publishing industry giants Academic Press, Sun Media, United Press International, The Kiplinger Washington Editors, Sociological Abstracts and HighWire Press (Stanford University), among others. He is a founding Board member of the Association of Information Industry Professionals (AIIP), past President and current Board member of the Association of Information Dissemination Centers (ASIDIC), and Vice-Chairman of Documentation Abstracts Inc. Randy Marcinko is frequently invited to be a key speaker and panel member at industry conferences.
