Matthew Toussant is the Director of Editorial Operations at
Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, Ohio, USA. In his eighteen
years with CAS, Dr Toussant has held a number of technical and
management positions in the marketing and editorial operating
units. In the mid-1980s as a Technical Services
Representative in CAS's marketing unit, he was the lead marketing
technical representative in the implementation and final design
of STN's integrated, networked Messenger software. His work in
the editorial unit has included management roles as Manager Physical
Chemistry Department, Manager Biochemistry Department, and Manager
Special Functions and Publisher Relations Unit. Dr Toussant has
also overseen a major segment of CAS's editorial software infrastructure
modernisation project.
Dr Toussant holds BS, MS and PhD degrees from The Ohio State University,
specialising in food chemistry and nutritional biochemistry.
